No. A foundation is not needed to place a shipping container on the ground. However, where the container is placed needs to be level, or the doors may not open and close easily. Adding elevated support by placing blocks made of durable materials like wood, bricks, or concrete under the four corners to level it.
No. The containers are stacked in depots. We send the depot a pick-up request and they give us the next available container within that stack. There are different stacks based on the type of container you purchase.

Yes. Shipping container exteriors made with aluminum or steel are non-flammable. Container floors, however, are made out of marine-grade plywood that is NOT fireproof. The wood, however, is still quite hard to set aflame.
